Neet Result 2024: The central government informed the Supreme Court that 1,563 NEET-UG 2024 candidates, who received grace marks, will have the option to retake the exam on June 23. A decision is pending on whether to cancel the scorecards of these students. The Supreme Court reiterated that it would not halt the counselling process, emphasizing that if the exam proceeds, everything should continue as planned.
The Centre on Thursday told the Supreme Court that the decision to give grace marks to 1,563 candidates of NEET-UG 2024 by the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been cancelled and the students will be given an option to apply for a retest on June 23.
The apex court was hearing petitions related to the controversy surrounding the NEET-UG, 2024 examination for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other courses.
The government told the court that a committee has been constituted to review the results of over 1,563 candidates who were awarded ‘grace marks’ to compensate for the loss of time suffered while appearing for NEET-UG.
